WATER AUDIT

• Early in the last school year we carried out an audit of water usage in the school.
• During Maths Class 5th and 6th class calculated how many litres of water each person in the school uses per day.
• These are the results: We use an average of 12 litres of water per person per day.
• This result was quite good but our aim is to reduce this number.
• We need to continue learning about ways we can save water at home and in school.
• Poster Competition To raise awareness about water conservation, among the school community, we held a very successful Poster Competition in April 2014. All classes from Junior Infants to 6th class explored the theme of “Water”.
• The winners are as follows:
