Mrs. O' Sullivan brought a bird's nest in to show to all of the boys and girls. The whole school has been having a great time engaging in bird-watching and this nest was a perfect treat. Each class got a chance to talk about and look at the nest. First and second class used their Clevertouch to give the nest a thorough examination. Keep a close eye on this blog for feedback on the bird-watching that has been ongoing in our school. We've photos, tally charts and lots more to share with everyone.

With the arrival of the beautiful Spring weather, we decided to take an more up-to-date photo of our 'Green Team'. Being on the committee for the last year and a half hasn't aged the children too much, even though they have been working extremely hard. Keep up the super work boys and girls!!
As part of our exploration into Biodiversity around our school we invited Dale Treadwell in to give Biodiversity workshops for all of our classes. We really had a fantastic day and look forward to welcoming Dale to our school again. Here are some images of the events today (more images to follow).
Third and Fourth class have been exploring the various wildflowers within our school garden whilst also investigating where insects like to 'hang out' in our school grounds. The Bug Hotel is starting to come to life and there's lot of insect activity around the school garden.
First and Second class and Fifth and Sixth class have been engaging in different types of bug hunts around the school in an attempt to see what insects and bugs are inhabiting our school grounds. They've had great fun using the magnifying glasses, bug pooters and technology.
