  • In Sept 2014, Killina NS were announced as Leader Board Winners for Battery Recycling in Co. Kildare.
  • This means that per capita, we recycle the most batteries, among all schools in Kildare.
  • Last year we collected 65kg of batteries.
  • This is a fantastic achievement! Well done to everyone who collected and recycled batteries through our school. Keep up the good work!
  • We received a Sports Pack as a prize.
  • CLOTHES RECYCLING
  • We have organised 3 or 4 clothes collections each year at our school .We have recycled many hundreds of KG of clothing and have raised hundreds of euros for school equipment. Our next clothing collection will be in May 2015.
  • We ask you to please keep any unwanted used clothing, bed linen, footwear etc., so that we can make the next clothes collection our most successful yet. Also encourage family and friends to participate.
  • PHONE RECYCLING
  • Please collect and send in old mobile phones to the school. When we have 100 or more phones, they will be eventually be exchanged for ICT equipment for our school.
