Well done to our students who took part in the u10 football blitz in Johnstownbridge. The rain was relentless all day long but that didn't stop our superstars having a great time. The boys and girls played two matches. They were very unlucky against Kilshanroe NS and came out fighting against a strong St. Patricks team to take a well-deserved victory! As always, the children represented our school with great pride, respect and enthusiasm.

Well done to our boys for how well they represented our school in the Mini-7s football. They played some super football in each of their three matches. Unfortunately they didn't win today but they had a great time playing as a team and doing our school proud! Onwards and upwards for these young gentlemen... Cill an Fheadha abú!!
Hard luck to our u-11 football team who were beaten in their semi-final by a very strong Naas team. Well done to all the boys and girls for their hard work this year. We are very proud of you in our school. Cill an Fheadha abú!
Our u-11 team played a great game today against Cadamstown. Our whole team tried their best throughout the match and some fantastic scores were seen during the match. Cédhla, Lennon and John were on fire up front and were unlucky not to get a few more scores. Andrew and Elliot had a great day in midfield and our backs of Dylan, Tadhg and Leon gave 100%. Dominic made some lovely saves in goal and his kick-outs were very good. Brianna, Lexi, Lily and Glen came on during the match and did the school very proud. We were unlucky in the end! Well done boys and girls and thanks to Cadamstown for a great game of football. Thanks to Annemarie Daveau for the great team photos - possibly our last outing in this jersey!! Watch this space.... Dylan, Lennon and John wrote a report of our second u-11 match against Broadford.
"The backs had a great game! Full backs Dylan and Tadhg and half-backs Cody and Cédhla were unstoppable in the game. The midfielders had a great game too with Andrew and Elliot running the show. They both scored lots for Killina. The forwards were fantastic too. John and Lennon were super shooters and Katie and Lily were great too. Scores were coming in from everywhere. A great win for Killina today. Well done everyone and thanks Broadford for an enjoyable game." Final Score - Killina 8-7 to Broadford 2-3 |
