Christmas Raffle Winners

We had a fantastic day on Friday 13th December for our annual Christmas raffle. Our wonderful Parent Association put so much effort into ensuring the success of this raffle and it certainly paid off. The winners of the main raffle were:
  • 1st Prize: Voucher (Value €300)-William Connolly Jnr
  • 2nd   Prize: Voucher  (Value €200)-Leah Mulvey
  • 3rd Prize: Drinks Hamper (Value €150)- Emily Carey
  • 4th Prize: Beauty Hamper (Value €75) —J.P. Dunne
  • 5th Prize: Turkey and Ham — Tessie Duffy
  • 6th Prize: Toy Voucher (€50) — Ruby Butler
  • 7th Prize: Bottle of Brandy — Joshua O’Reilly
  • 8th Prize: Turkey — Dan Kearney
  • 9th Prize: Ham — Tadhg Duffy
  • 10th Prize: Bottle of Whiskey — Barbara Aungier

Sacrament Dates 2019-20

Dear Parents,

The schools in the Parish met with Fr. Fitzpatrick today to go through the dates for each Sacramental celebration. They are as follows:

2nd Class
  • Meeting for all Parents - Monday September 30th 2019
  • First Confession - March 12th 2020 at 7:30pm.
  • First Holy Communion - Saturday 9th May at 11 a.m.

6th Class
  • Enrolment Ceremony - Saturday November 30th
  • Ceremony of Light - Saturday February 8th
  • Confirmation - March 7th at 11 a.m.

Please remember to return application forms for your child's Kildare County Council Library card. Any child who wishes to use the mobile library in September must have a membership card.

Congratulations to the boys and girls in Second class on making their First Holy Communion. Many thanks to Mrs. Noonan for all of her hard work in preparing for this special day. Making thanks also to Ms. Dalton and the wonderful choir for the beautiful music they provided during this special ceremony. Also, a big thanks to Paula Garry Goulding for the fantastic work that she did this year as a Parent Representative (and much more) for both the Communion and Confirmation classes. The Board of Management and staff of our school will be reviewing our Child Safeguarding Statement and Anti-Bullying Policy during the month of April. We are asking parents to review these policies (available here) and to give us feedback/suggestions which will help to inform our review. The Student Council will also be assisting us with our review. ​

Congratulations to our wonderful boys and girls from 6th class who made their Confirmation. It was a beautiful and the children really did our school proud. Well done to Ms. Dalton for the hard work that she has put in to preparing the children and the fantastic choir for this special day. It was another lovely day for our school community. ​
